Bissell vacuum cleaners are something beyond our comprehension. The company has used innovative techniques and clever strategies to overcome vacuuming problems. Take the Bissell CleanView 9595A for example. It uses a hard bristled brush to deep clean carpets. The sharp bristles lift up dirt and remove it from the carpet fibers. Many other strategies are used in the Bissell, which we shall discuss in our Bissell 9595A review.
If you choose the Bissell vacuum, you’re signing yourself up for some premium household cleaning. The Bissell is able to lift up dirt from even high-pile carpets, a feature that is rare. Moreover, it includes cord rewind and a handheld TurboBrush tool. The Bissell also has the largest capacity bin we have ever seen.
All of these features and more make Bissell’s vacuums worth the price. Read on to find out more about the Bissell CleanView and how it can change your cleaning game forever.
The Bissell 9595A vacuum uses a motorized brush roll. What’s so special about the brush roll used in the Bissell CleanView is that the brushes are rotating. The Bissell uses an inventive brush design that cleans deep into carpets and rugs. The rotating brushes are an excellent addition to the motorized brush roll feature.
With other vacuums, you would need to swipe multiple times over an area to get a decent amount of dirt off. But Bissell CleanView OnePass technology takes away the need for multiple swipes. Since the suction power is pretty average, the rotating brush is tasked with lifting dirt. Because of this, the Bissell has its reputation on carpets and bare floors.
Many vacuums use a cyclonic suction system that is both efficient and sustainable. These vacuums can have up to eight cyclones to enhance suction. The Bissell 9595A CleanView uses the same technology to drastically change your cleaning game. Cyclonic suction is a relevantly new technology that sucks up large particles of debris and hair. The cyclones suck all the hard and coagulated debris and keep them away from the filter.
The filter tends to get pretty dirty real quick. And large pieces of debris such as food crumbs and dust bunnies can clog the filter. You see, filters in vacuum cleaners have very narrow perforations that larger dust particles can’t pass through. And once your filter gets clogged, manual cleaning becomes necessary.
Bissell CleanView’s multi-cyclonic action reduces the need for frequent maintenance. In our Bissell 9595A review, it helped to keep the system clean.
Bissell’s CleanView comes with its own brush tool. The TurboBrush is a highly exquisite tool that utilizes a motorized brush roll. This tool is handheld and can be used to clean the stairs, furniture, and crevices. The TurboBrush comes included with the package, and it works wonders on places where your vacuum can’t reach. The tool has a single motorized brush roll that performs the same function as the main vacuum head. The only difference is that this head is compact, handheld, and lightweight.
In order to set up the TurboBrush, you need to detach the main wand head. Then attach the hose and the TurboBrush tool. The TurboBrush along with the 6-foot long hose is the perfect device for vacuuming stairwells and upholstery.
Foam filters are lesser common among vacuum cleaning brands. But that doesn’t mean they can’t still be good enough. The foam filter used in the Bissell CleanView is a multi-layer filter that catches dust and debris. This filter is quite the norm among vacuums, and over 41% of vacuums use some form of foam filters.
Foam filters are admittedly not as efficient as HEPA filters. For instance, they aren’t able to separate molecules down to the cellular level. This usually leaves bacteria and viruses completely untouched. Moreover, they do not remove all dust particles. But they manage to get an estimated 80% of all dust and debris. This lack of efficiency is what leads many to believe that the Bissell isn’t worth a try.

However, even with the foam filter, the Bissell still manages to maintain its momentum. The filter catches dust and food crumbs and removes pet hair. Tinier pieces of hair may escape or clog the filter at a molecular level. The multi-cyclonic system works to keep the foam filter clean and perfectly healthy.
One of the benefits of the Bissell’s foam filter is that it is washable and reusable. Simply soak the filter in non-combustible cleaning fluid, let dry, and reattach it into the unit.
This is by and large the best feature of the Bissell 9595A CleanView. This vacuum has a dustbin capacity of 2.0 liters. That’s about 2,000 ml. For comparison, other vacuums of this size and strength only have about 1,200 ml of bin capacity. Most don’t go beyond 1.5 liters (1,500 ml).
The rare bin capacity creates space for a lot of dirt and debris. Smaller bins create the need for frequent emptying and maintenance. The larger capacity of the Bissell CleanView means you don’t have to empty the bin often. This is one of the many features in which Bissell leads the rest.
However, when you do need to empty the bin, the unit won’t notify you. The Bissell 9595A Vacuum Cleaner does not feature a full-bin indicator. Unfortunately, you will need to check up on the bin yourself from time to time. We recommend checking the bin every week or so, just to be safe. Removing and washing the bin is a breeze. A quick-release handle makes removing the bin extremely trivial. And washing it with normal detergent should mostly do the job.
The Bissell CleanView is very easy to clean and use. And even other Bissell CleanView reviews seem to agree with us.
The Bissell 9595A vacuum does not have much to boast in terms of suction power. The unit has an amperage of 8 amps and an input power of 1200 watts. The input power isn’t a far cry from the 1300 watts that other vacuums boast. However, that means the Bissell produces 100 watts less than most other vacuums. Even this tiny difference can have a huge impact on performance and ability.
For example, this slightly low suction power makes the Bissell poor at picking up pet hair. Larger strands of hair are easily swept up, yes, but the smaller bits are left behind. Moreover, the Bissell does not come with adjustable power. If the feature was present, you would be able to increase power when moving onto carpets.
However, the Bissell beats the others in terms of energy consumption and saving. Low power input means better energy savings and lesser electricity bills. It proved to be quite the energy saver in this Bissell 9595A review.
Cord rewind is the one feature that you won’t find anywhere else. The Bissell CleanView has a 25 feet long cord that is retractable and can rewind on its own. Corded vacuums are a great way to reduce charging time. They give you infinite power, and many like the Bissell don’t consume much energy.
The Bissell 9595A vacuum with OnePass has a cord rewind feature. With this feature, the long cord will rewind automatically and store inside the vacuuming unit. In this way, you won’t have to worry about storing the cord. And you won’t need to worry about tripping over the wire or loose connection. The cord rewind is a very unique feature that only a few vacuums have.
Apart from that, the cord is 25 feet long, which means it can clean a medium-sized room. But be careful with the cord. Very long cords tend to get tangled and wound around furniture legs. Cord rewind will help unwind any wires, but you can still trip.
The reach of a vacuum is one of the most important features that people look for. There’s no point in having a powerful vacuum if you can’t use it across surfaces. Sure, a 25 or 30-foot long cord can be enough for most people. But what we really need is long detachable components and hoses.
The Bissell 9595A CleanView bagless vacuum features all kinds of different tools. It has a 6-foot long hose that can be used to clean along furniture and bedding. This hose, paired with the TurboBrush handheld tool, will increase your reach and make cleaning easier. You can use the hose to clean the top of the furniture and stairs. The best part is that you can even vacuum carpeted stairs.
Don’t miss: Best upright vacuum cleaners
Other than that, the Bissell CleanView vacuum has a cleaning path of width 13.5 inches. This is wider than other vacuums similar to the Bissell. A wider cleaning path means more coverage. That and the OnePass technology make the Bissell the most user-oriented and coherent machine.
We have to admit, the Bissell doesn’t offer much in terms of pet hair performance. The vacuum works wonders on bare floors, but it’s just not made for pet hair. To begin with, the unit does not come with any special pet hair brushes. A pet multi-tool and brush are mandatory with every modern vacuum cleaner.
More so, the Bissell doesn’t have any special pet hair lifting brushes. The one brush roll it uses isn’t optimized enough to pick up pet hair. It does, however, pick up the larger strands of hair. But the smaller bits get overlooked, and even a few swipes aren’t enough. The Bissell 9595A isn’t meant for pet hair cleaning.
If you have pets in the house, we urge you to try something else. This vacuum proved to be unsuitable for pet hair in our Bissell CleanView upright vacuum review.
After pet hair, the next thing you should consider is the carpet performance. Most vacuums tend to perform worse on carpets as compared to bare floors. However, you can categorize the Bissell as something different. This vacuum cleaner features a rotating brush roll that goes deep into the carpet and picks up deep-set dirt and debris. The brush is made of hard bristles that make it an excellent choice for low-pile carpets.
But wait, there’s more. The Bissell 9595A CleanView bagless vacuum with OnePass Technology works on high-pile carpets. The rotating brush is one thing, but the cyclonic action and intense suction account for most of the cleaning. The Bissell is the best candidate for high pile carpet cleaning. Even with moderate suction power, Bissell’s cleaning system makes it inherently the best.
If you’re looking to buy a machine for multi-surface cleaning with a preference of small hard floor cleaning jobs then Bissell will serve you well. With its height adjust feature you can raise the roller for hard floor cleaning. Unlike other expensive models, the rolling brush won’t stop when switched to hard floor mode. Furthermore, the height adjustment makes sure that the brush doesn’t leave any scratches on the bare floor.
Noise level and user comfort are some of the overlooked yet important aspects. A vacuum that produces a lot of noise can hinder sleep, disturb pets, and wake up infants. Many people resort to robotic vacuums due to their quiet performance and high efficiency. The more the noise produced by a vacuum, the lower its efficiency.

The Bissell 9595A CleanView vacuum produces just as much noise as any vacuum. It has a noise level of about 76 dB, which isn’t too much. But compared to others, it isn’t anything unique either. Most vacuums of this style have a noise level between 65 and 78 dB.
So the Bissell vacuum will produce quite a lot of noise. And using it in the same room as pets and children may not be the best idea. However, user comfort also encompasses portability and accessibility. The Bissell has easy to access controls that can be operated from the handle. Moreover, it has the cord rewind feature that makes portability twice as easy.
The Bissell CleanView also has a very lightweight of just 15 pounds. This makes it easy to pick up, move, and store. The hose, wand, and head can all be detached and stored separately. Our Bissell 9595A review proved it to provide comfort and ease for the users.
Vacuum cleaners come loaded with extras and spares to perform specialized functions that the main wand cannot. They also extend the reach of the vacuum to increase portability.
The Bissell 9595A comes with its own optimized tools. There is, of course, the TurboBrush. As mentioned before, this tool is a handheld head that cleans stairs, furniture, and upholstery. It’s best used with the 6-foot long hose that comes included. Together, the two make an incomparable pair.
Moreover, this vacuum comes with a crevice tool with a slant head. This tool is used to clean in crevices such as under and behind furniture. It’s best for cleaning places where your normal vacuum won’t go.
Apart from that, the Bissell also has a dusting brush to clean the tops of sofas and leather seats. It also features an extension wand. The extension will increase your reach, so you can clean larger rooms.
In fact, using the extension wand and the 6-foot hose will expand your cleaning area drastically. You won’t have to switch from socket to socket. To make carrying easier, the Bissell also comes with an easy-carry handle and a soft bumper. This will prevent any damage to walls or pets and infants.
An edge cleaning brush is also included to clean along the perimeter of the room. And tons of other goodies await you if you choose the Bissell vacuum cleaner.

The Bissell vacuum comes from a trustable brand. The company offers a warranty of 2 years. The 2 years warranty period may not seem enough, but don’t forget most vacuums show faults within a couple of months’ use.
The warranty covers manufacturing faults and other problems. It does not compensate for user damage, pet damage, water damage, or power surges. With this warranty, you can get free returns and exchanges.
The 9595A isn’t then only a prestigious Bissell product. The Bissell CleanView 1831 has taken the lead many times. Both products have their own features and drawbacks. Nonetheless, we feel a proper comparison is necessary to help our readers decide the best one.
For starters, both Bissells feature OnePass technology. Both are corded and bagless upright vacuums. And both feature multi-cyclonic action to remove filter-clogging dirt. These vacuums also come with a TurboBrush tool and a foam filter to clean the air. They include a crevice tool, a dusting brush, and a wand extension.
The difference is that the 9595A features cord rewind whereas 1831 does not. More so, the 1831 model does not have functionality on high-pile carpets. It’s only recommended for lower-pile surfaces. The Bissell 1831 has a dustbin capacity of 2 liters. This is slightly less than the 2.2 liter capacity of the Bissell 9595A.
Another difference is that the Bissell CleanView 1831 does not have a soft bumper. So you can’t freely clean along the edges without risking scratching the sides. However, apart from that, there aren’t many differences between these two models.
While writing this Bissell 9595A review, we realized that the Bissell has a lot more potential than we first thought. At first sight, you might be unconvinced by the bad pet hair performance and foam filter. But if you dig deep (quite literally), you’ll find that the Bissell has more to it. It has a high capacity, perfect high-pile performance, and tons of accessories.
In short, the Bissell is for anyone who wants extra features and accessories. However, it is not for people who own pets. The product itself isn’t very efficient at picking up fur, and it doesn’t include any pet tool either. But for high-pile carpets and any other surface, the Bissell is topped by nothing.
Don’t believe us? See for yourself. Get your own Bissell unit now and try out all the features for yourself. When we tried out the Bissell CleanView, we got excellent results. And we can assure you that if you try it out, you too will be impressed.
