Scroll down to find out more about the Dyson V11 Animal and how it can benefit you.
The Dyson V11 Animal features a Dynamic Load Sensor. With this sensor, you get the added benefit of adjustable power. This vacuum is an intelligent machine that automatically adjusts power to the floor type.
If the floor is hardwood or linoleum, the vacuum will stay at a moderate suction power. When on carpeted floors, the Dyson will adjust its power to well above 180 Air Watts (AW). For reference, 100 AW suction power is recommended for most upright vacuums. The motor functions at 125,000 RPM.
This Dyson model, much like other stick vacuums, uses a HEPA filter. A HEPA standard filter is the best for modern vacuums. These filters extract up to 99.97% of dust and allergens from the exhaust air. They remove particles as small as 0.3 microns. So the air leaving your vacuum’s exhaust is 100% safe and clean to breathe.
HEPA filters can be washed and reused. Moreover, you also get a spare HEPA filter in case the first one gets clogged. Unfortunately, the Dyson V11 Animal does not feature cyclonic action. So your filter can get clogged if used on heavier particles.
Pet hair is what the Dyson Animal is all about. This multifunction vacuum has a high suction power that pulls in pet hair. But the real issue isn’t of suction at all. The pet hair needs to be untangled and released from the carpet. And for that, the Dyson uses 3 motorized brush rolls. You can attach one at a time, and all three have different applications.
The first brush is the Torque Drive brush which has high power and lifts up dirt and debris. In our Dyson V11 Animal review, we found that it’s best used on high-pile carpets.
The other two brushes are for removing tangled hair and gently cleaning the carpet. Together with the high suction power, cleaning pet hair becomes a breeze.
The three brush rolls of the Dyson V11 Animal are perfect for picking up dirt from carpets. The Dyson is especially recommended for high-pile carpets. It features a high torque brush roll that digs deep inside the carpet and releases pet hair. Its second brush roll, the Stubborn Dirt brush, removes coagulated and deep-set dirt. The third brush roll is a soft dusting brush. This brush gently scrapes the dust from the surface of the carpet.
The extra brush rolls can be attached to the main unit as accessories. In this way, the Dyson removes all dirt stuck inside your carpet’s fibers. It also works to get rid of pet hair and food crumbs. Then these particulates are sucked up into the HEPA filter.
If the Dyson V11 Animal performs well on carpets, then it can perform the same on bare floors. On hardwood floors, the Dyson works efficiently and removes all dirt and debris in the way. This vacuum has three brush rolls. The soft dusting brush is the best to pick up dust stuck in crevices and tile faults.
Dyson V11 Animal has a dustbin with a capacity of 700 ml. This is the normal capacity for a stick vacuum.
This makes the Dyson perfect for medium-sized rooms and houses.
Since the Dyson V11 Animal is cordless, it has a limited runtime. The Dyson has a runtime of 80 minutes (1 hour 20 minutes). This is sufficient enough to clean a room or two before the battery dies out. However, the charging time is 270 minutes (4 hours 30 minutes)
With its heavy power motor and high RPM, the Dyson boasts three motorized brush rolls. They are in the form of accessories and can be attached one at a time. These brush rolls play an important part in carpet cleaning and pet hair performance. The first brush roll is the Torque Drive Brush. This brush is best for carpeted floors.

The Stubborn Dirt brush removes thick, coagulated pieces of dirt. It also works on tangled pet hair, food crumbs, and dust bunnies. This brush is best used in crevices and cracks where dirt tends to go unnoticed for days. The third brush is the Soft Dusting brush that works best for cleaning hardwood floors.
With the Dyson V11 Animal, you get a 10-inch cleaning path. This is a number that is close to the standard 11-inch cleaning path of most vacuums. For a stick vacuum, 10 inches can be a lot. The wide cleaning head helps you pick up more dirt. So you won’t need to swipe over and over again.
You can get a small to medium-sized room cleaned within minutes. A wider cleaning path saves time and allows for multiple rooms to be cleaned in one sitting.
The Dyson V11 Animal is abundant in accessories. With the Dyson, you get staples like a spare filter and batteries. If your current HEPA gets clogged, then the spare filter will have you covered. This will also give you a good idea of how long the filter will last.
Along with that, you get a 12-inch crevice tool. The crevice tool can be attached to the Dyson to clean in hard-to-reach places. This includes stairs, behind and under furniture, and between sofas. You also get a combination tool. The combination tool does both the job of a crevice tool and a soft dusting brush.
Other than that, you also get an extension wand for cleaning on stairs and on the ceiling. This wand can be used with the combination tool to get optimum performance. The package also comes with a docking station for charging the Dyson, as well as a charging cord. The two extra brush rolls: the stubborn dirt and soft dusting brush are also included. All these Dyson V11 Animal tools make the purchase more exciting.
The Dyson V11 Animal is a great vacuum for pet hair and carpet cleaning. And it performs just as well on bare floors. This vacuum has a large variety of accessories. The three brush rolls specifically are useful in picking up dirt and hair.
However, our Dyson Animal review proved it to have a low battery life. And its charging time does not satisfy the low runtime. Also, the cleaning path is 1 inch narrower than other vacuums. And the dustbin capacity is moderate as compared to the other vacuums.
